For lovers of waterfall tours, exploring the world's tallest waterfall is sure to be the most impressive thing. Especially if you are bored with tours that present the beauty of the sea or the serenity of the lake.

Looking at the water with a large enough volume that falls freely and feeling the freshness of the water that greets the face and other body parts is a perfect combination that forms a natural beauty with its impression.

A waterfall is a geological formation of flowing water that starts from a rock formation that has experienced erosion and falls from a height. This is why some waterfalls form in mountainous environments where erosion often occurs.

However, waterfalls do not always form naturally. The beauty of the waterfall can also be made by human hands as is usually found in parks.

The number of mountainous areas in parts of the world that are experiencing erosion makes many waterfalls found with their uniqueness and beauty.

Some of them are so prominent that they are famous all over the world whether it's because of their width, their volume of water is greater than others, because of the natural phenomena that occur in them, or because of their heights that reach thousands of feet above ground level.

Some people like to enjoy the beauty of waterfall tours and capture them in several photos. Several other people who like to climb mountains are also provoked to be able to conquer the height of a waterfall, including the tallest waterfall in the world.

Then, where is the highest waterfall in the world? Here are three waterfalls that have the most astonishing height in the world.

Highest Waterfall in the Third World - Utigord Falls (818 meters)

In third place is occupied by Utigord Falls or Utigardsfossen which reaches 2685 feet or about 818 meters. Utigord Falls is located in the Stryn region, Sogn og Fjordane, Norway, approximately 10 km southeast of the villages of Loen and Olden.

Located right near the Ramnefjellet mountains which killed more than 100 people in landslides in 1905 and 1936, Utigord Falls is also known as Ramnefjellsfossen.

Utigord Falls is 'filled' by a glacier (melting snow) from Mount Ramnefjellbreen which will eventually flow into Lake Lovatnet. The total fall of water as high as 818 meters is divided into three free-falling rapids with the longest free-fall spill being 2000 feet or about 600 meters.

Due to the small flow of water, Utigord Falls is one of the few core waterfalls in Norway that has not yet been registered for hydroelectric use.

To be able to be and enjoy the beauty of Utigord Falls, you can use several types of vehicles. This waterfall can be reached easily by water or land.

For the waterway, you can rent a boat or boat to get to the third highest waterfall in the world. Meanwhile, if you prefer to use the land route, start climbing the existing routes and you will also find a camping place within climbing distance from the base of the waterfall.

With a height of 3110 feet or about 947 meters, Tugela Falls is the second-highest waterfall in the world. Located in the Drakensberg (Dragon Mountain) in Royal Natal National Park, KwaZulu-Natal Province, Republic of South Africa, this waterfall originates from the Tugela River which also originates from the Mont-Aux-Sources Plateau (the highest peak in the plateau). The water in Tugela Falls is also safe for those of you who are tempted to drink it.

This waterfall falls in five jumps. After the heavy rain, the stunning scenery was visible. About 18 waterfalls appear along with the Amphitheater. You can enjoy the beauty of the 'spilled' water from the main tourist road to the garden in the form of sparkling water due to the refraction of the afternoon sun.

In winter, often covered in snow, the top of Tugela Falls freezes to form beautiful pillars of ice, making it one of the rare sights to behold.

To reach Tugela Falls there are two paths. The most spectacular trail is to the top of Mont-Aux-Sources starting from the Sentinel car park (via Phuthaditjhaba about 2 hours drive from Royal Natal National Park, 90 minutes from Harrismith, or 80 minutes from Golden GateHighlands National Park).

From here you are relatively easy to climb to the top of the Amphitheater and access to the top can be through two sets of stairs.

Meanwhile, the other route is towards the foot of Tugela Falls which starts from the Royal Natal National Park. You can follow the uphill slopes for 7 km through the local forest. And the last part of the climb to Tugela Falls is a big rock jump where there are several series of stairs that will take you to an extraordinary view of the waterfall.

Until now, Angel Falls was listed as the highest waterfall in the world. No waterfall in any part of the world can match the height of 3,212 feet or about 979 meters that Angel Falls has. Located in The Rio Caroni, Canaima National Park, Venezuela, Angel Falls is the tallest free-fall waterfall with an unimpeded fall of about 2,647 feet (807 meters).

Angel Falls became known to the world public after it was officially discovered by James Crawford Angel who landed his plane near the waterfall while flying in search of a gold mine in 1936. This waterfall was first seen in the 20th century by explorer Ernesto de Santa Cruz.

However, until found by James Crawford Angel, his whereabouts were unknown. In memory of the inventor, the highest waterfall in the world is also named Angel.

By the residents themselves, the waterfall whose official height was determined by the National Geographic Society in 1949 was given the name Kerepakupai Vena which means "waterfall in the deepest place" or Parakupa Vena (falling from the highest point).

Meanwhile, the Spaniards who had also colonized South America called this waterfall the 'Salto Angel'.

If you have the opportunity to visit Venezuela, take the time to enjoy the natural beauty which is the most famous tourist attraction in Venezuela. To reach it, you have to fly from Puerto Ordaz or Ciudad Bolivar to Canaima Camp.

After arriving at the place, you must continue your journey by wading through the river until you reach the location. Unfortunately, the river that must be passed is only filled with water between June and December.

You can enjoy its beauty from below or if you are curious to get to the top, try conquering the heights.

Several people have climbed the highest waterfall in the world, and those who have successfully conquered the almost 1 km high include John Timo, George Bogel, David Nott, and Paul Straub who managed to reach the top on January 13, 1971, after 9 1/2 day hike The

three highest waterfalls in the world spread their charm to all corners of the world. They are waiting for lovers of natural beauty and lovers of extreme sports to simply admire its beauty, feel the freshwater, or conquer its heights. Dare to try?
