When the wife is pregnant, the fetal growth phase is also very carefully considered and guarded from things that can harm the fetus. This is a stressful and exciting waiting period that a married couple faces when waiting for the birth of their baby.
A household that has not been established is called a family before the presence of a child. Children are the most awaited successor of descendants after marriage.
Observing the growth phase in the fetus is fun. Because, one becomes more and more admiring the greatness of God that initially humans only consisted of a meeting of two very small living things, namely sperm and egg cells (ova).
From the meeting of these two mini creatures, there was a process of cell division many times which eventually resulted in a fetus in a woman's womb. The creature that develops in a woman's womb is the most beautiful gift in her life.
Stages of Fetal Development
1. Age one to seven days
This is when the sperm cells from the husband managed to "invade" the egg in his wife's womb. Miraculously, the number of eggs that want to fertilize the ovum amounts to thousands.
However, only one will be accepted by the ovum. When the ovum matures and he has received a sperm, immediately the ovum closes itself to other sperm cells.
The meeting of the sperm with the ovum is called a zygote. It takes about four days to become a zygote. The zygote will develop to build a body that initially consists of proteins, carbohydrates, and other compounds.
2. Age one week
After becoming a zygote, one then occurs cell division to reach hundreds. Cells are very small in size and they are enclosed by a membrane called the membrane pellucida. This membrane serves to protect the cell. As the days go by, these cells form the embryo of the body's organs.
3. The 1st Month
Cell division continues in the first month. The number of cell divisions in the thousands. Cells will continue to form various parts of the human body. Each cell has its own task to form certain body parts, such as hands, feet, head, and so on.
All cells seem to run automatically in forming all parts of the body. At the end of the month the size of the embryo is approximately four millimeters, like a gel, and complete with body parts although its shape is not perfect.
4. The 2nd Month
At this time the size of the embryo increases by approximately two centimeters and weighs about one gram. At this time the embryo looks more alive. His heart was beating strongly. His brain is able to provide stimulation and make arrangements for body parts.
The neural network is connected to the olfactory lobbies in the brain. The embryo's stomach also has a small amount of gastric juice. Body parts are increasingly fully formed starting from the face, ears, eyes, tongue, nose, feet, and so on. His arm was able to move slightly through the existing muscles.
In addition, the reproductive organs have been shaped and the bones are also arranged along with cartilage. Therefore, this period is a critical phase for pregnant women. It is mandatory for pregnant women to be careful in this early trimester because the embryo is in a position of rapid growth.
5. The 3rd Month
In the last month of this early trimester, the fetus begins to like to kick and play with the soles of its feet. He can also open his fingers and make a fist. His face was able to express such as frowning or playing with his mouth.
If scanned with a 3 or 4 dimensional ultrasound, the baby's face can be identified. The fetus also has vocal cords and may well be able to cry if he is not in an airtight chamber. The weight of the fetus at this time is estimated at 30 grams.
6. The 4th Month
Entering the second trimester, the mother must provide herself with the intake of various highly nutritious foods. The fetus is growing rapidly and he needs nutrients that are transported through the placenta or umbilical cord.
During this time, the placenta plays a role in the lungs, intestines, liver, kidneys, hormone glands, and carries out immune (immune) functions. Pregnant women begin to look more distended. The fetus has reached a weight of about 180 grams with a length of approximately 16 centimeters.
7. The 5th and 6th Months
In this month the completeness of the limbs has begun to appear. For example eyebrows, eyelashes, to hair. The sixth month, the hair on the head begins to flatten. Nails also complete the hands and feet. The baby's heartbeat can be heard when the listening device (stethoscope) is placed on the pregnant woman's stomach.
At this time, pregnant women feel the pattern of their baby's agile. Fetal movements are getting stronger. Maybe the sleeping hours of pregnant women are a bit disturbed because the fetus moves a lot. The baby's eyes are able to move freely while their eyelids are open.
The weight of a five-month-old fetus is approximately 500 grams with a length of 25 centimeters. Meanwhile, when he was six months old, his weight increased to 800 grams with a length of 30 centimeters.
8. The 7th Month
The weight of the fetus in this month is about 1.8 kilograms. The fetus is equipped with fat that covers its body. This fat is very helpful for babies who are born later because it will prevent themselves from changing temperatures between inside and outside the womb.
Fetal skin color turns slightly pink. For babies, the temperature changes are quite extreme. The fetus also begins to suck the thumb at this age. His hair is flat. The length of the hair has reached five centimeters. The soft protective skin coat (lanugo) also looks dated.
9. The 8th Month
The size of the baby is quite large at this age. The baby's movements are often felt. The small uterus makes the baby's position feel tight, even though the uterus is elastic. When moving, the mother's abdomen appears to show bulges from the movement of the hands or feet.
10. The 9th Month
The 9th month is the period when a baby will soon be born into the world. Pregnant women and husbands are expected to be more alert this month. There comes a time when the placenta will stop delivering food to the baby.
When this happens, it is usually accompanied by hormonal changes in pregnant women. The effects that appear include aches, pains, feeling hot in the muscles of the waist and abdominal muscles, and so on. Its appearance is around days 260-271 of normal pregnancy.
Changes in this condition make pregnant women feel "his" or heartburn which indicates that the baby will come out. And, this is the time for the little one to be born into the world and become a cooler for both parents.
That's a summary of the stages of growth in the fetus that occurs in everyone under normal conditions. This phase shows that a person's struggle to become a complete person requires many processes that are always maintained by a pregnant mother until the baby is born.
The struggle of a mother to maintain the life of the fetus is not an easy thing and it is lived for 9 months and 10 days for normal conditions. The critical period in the growth phase of the fetus is in the early and late trimesters.
