Inventor of Blogger

Before the existence of Facebook and Twitter, blogs were social media that were loved by many internet users. People can communicate through blogs by sharing information and interactive comments on blogs.

But with the development of new social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Wechat and others. The activity of replying to comments on the blog is decreasing.

Is Evan Williams, a US entrepreneur who has founded several businesses. Among the most famous is Blogger (before it was bought by Google). He was also the CEO of Twitter, replacing Jack Dorsey. Evan Williams now lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife, Sara Morishige. Together they have one child.

Williams, who was born March 31, 1972 in Nebraska, was raised on a farm in Clarks, Nebraska, where he was assisted with crop irrigation in the summer. He attended the University of Nebraska for a year and a half, but then he left to pursue a career.

After graduating from the University of Nebraska, Williams worked for tech companies and startups in Key West, Dallas, Austin, Texas and on his family's farm in Nebraska. In 1996 Williams moved to Sebastopol, California in Sonoma County, where he worked for O'Reilly Media.

At O'Reilly He held a marketing position but eventually became an independent contractor and wrote computer code, which led to freelance opportunities with companies including Intel and Hewlett-Packard.

Pyra Labs and Blogger

On August 23, 1999, Blogger was launched by Pyra Labs. As one of the world's first blog publishing tools, Blogger played a role in popularizing the blog format in the world.

In February 2003, Pyra Labs was acquired by Google, making a number of premium Blogger features previously commercialized by Pyra Labs a completely free service. In October 2004, the co-founder of Pyra Labs, Evan Williams, resigned from Google.

Evan Williams and Meg Hourihan founded Pyra Labs to create software project management. A feature noted as Blogger, one of the first web applications for creating and managing weblogs, Williams coined the term "blogger" and was instrumental in popularizing the term "blog".

Twitter

Among Obvious Corp's projects is Twitter, a free social networking and microblogging service. Twitter itself was spun out into a new company in April 2007, with Williams as co-founder, board member and investor.

In October 2008, Williams became CEO of Twitter, replacing Jack Dorsey who became chairman of the board. In February 2009.

Founder of the WordPress

matt-mullenweg

Matthew Charles Mullenweg better known as Matt Mullenweg is the founder and developer of the WordPress software. Matt, who was born in Houston, Texas, United States, on January 11, 1984, studied high school in the field of Visual and Performing Arts.

He is also good at playing the saxophone. Although his studies are not in the field of computer technology and programming, Matt managed to establish and develop software that is now very well known, namely WordPress.com, Akismet, and his Automattic business.

Matt's History and WordPress

Matt's introduction to the world of blogging has been around since 2002 when he was 18 years old. At that time, Matt had just started using the b2 cafelog blog facility. He used the b2 blog (bbpress.org) to publish his photos during a trip to Washington DC.

However, a few months later, the bbpress blog where Matt published his photos stopped developing the software. Because of such conditions, Matt's creative thinking emerged.

In January 2003, Matt Mullenweg announced via his blog that he would develop a b2 blog so that it conforms to the current web standards.

With his own initiative, Matt and Mike Little began to develop b2-based WordPress coding. Then, Mike and Matt together with Michel Valdrighi (former b2 developer), started actively developing WordPress until the WordPress you know today was born.

On May 27, 2003, WordPress version 0.70 was released. Version 0.7 still contains the same file structure as its predecessor, b2 cafelog.

In March 2003, when Matt was 19 years old, Matt and his colleagues founded GPMG with a more complex format than HTML.

A year later, WordPress launched the Ping-O-Matic facility which is useful for sending ping notifications on blog search engines such as Technorati. And now, Ping-O-Matic has served more than 1 million pings every day.

Even though Matt is a Drop Out (DO) student from his college, he managed to become a rich and successful young entrepreneur. In 2007, he was named 16 of the “50 Most Important People in the Internet World” by PC World.

And in mid-January 2009, Matt visited Indonesia to attend and be the main guest at Wordcamp Indonesia 2009 - “1st Annual Conference for Indonesian WordPress Enthusiasts”.

Like Blogger, which was successful after being partnered with Google, WordPress is growing rapidly with many users around the world.
