How does fingerprint or fingerprint work in modern human life? These fingerprints have been used as material for making spinning machines. A newly developed miracle of creation.
Long before this technology existed, Allah Almighty has explained in the Qur'an Surah Al-Qiyamah verses 3-4:
"Do people think that We will not collect (return) their bones? Yes, We are even able to reassemble the fingertips -his fingers perfectly." (Qur'an, 75:3-4)
Fingerprints for Various Purposes
Fingerprints are evidence of extraordinary creation for which humans should be grateful. This creature is the best of creation.
This is explained in the Surah At-Tin verse 4 which reads:
"Indeed We have created man in the best form."
Fingerprint is an undeniable identity that only belongs to each person. No one has the same fingerprint (Subhanallah). How can humans deny the power of God with such clear evidence?
When many accident victims or victims of natural disasters and crime victims cannot be identified, fingerprints are very important data.
PASSPORT are among the identity cards that use fingerprints as one of the requirements for making them. The goal is one, as an accurate indication of ownership of the identity.
Newborn babies were also fingerprinted so they wouldn't be confused and would be easy to identify if something happened.
Now this fingerprint is used as presence data and other data that requires a very high difference as a clue that leads to someone.
Even this fingerprint used as a key to open a secret door or safe is very important. Although the iris has also been used as a complementary form or substitute for fingerprints, it turns out that fingerprints are not abandoned.
Why Fingerprint?
Even though according to the Henry Classification System, there are only three fingerprint patterns, namely, loop pattern, whorl pattern, and arch pattern, it's amazing how many billions of people in this world don't have the same fingerprint.
For people who think, this reality is very soul-stirring. It is a sin to not be grateful for the blessings of this life.
Then there's even more great information. According to the data that has been collected, approximately 2/3 of humans have fingerprints with a 'loop pattern' pattern, the other 1/3 have a 'whorl pattern' pattern.
Meanwhile, only 5-10% have 'arch pattern' fingerprints. If you don't believe me, do a small survey. First, gather as many as 10-15 people only. The more actually the more accurate.
Second, ask everyone to be researched to put their thumb in the ink. Then stick the inked thumb onto a piece of paper. Don't forget to mark who it belongs to or just use a code.
Third, pay attention to each person's fingerprints collected. Fourth, analyze how many people have a 'loop pattern' fingerprint and how many have a 'whorl pattern' pattern. The result should be that 9-10 people or more have a 'loop pattern' pattern.
This 'loop pattern' is shaped like a high mountain. Maybe like the shape of Mount Merapi in Yogyakarta. While the shape of the 'whorl pattern' is like a circle.
If the shape of the 'arch pattern' is like the eye being squinted, it opens slightly or looks like a slanted eye. For those who like Japanese comics, maybe the arch pattern is like the eyes in Japanese manga that are feeling shy.
The magic of this fingerprint form makes many people think of using it as the basis for a very distinctive identity. To be more precise, then on the scanning machine, usually another pattern is developed. That development led to 'Minutiae'.
As in action research, the more complete the data obtained, the more specific the results and theories will be. Likewise when using fingerprints as a scanner material. When using only the three previously mentioned patterns, it is possible to know only in general terms.
By using something more detailed or in the science that studies fingerprints called 'Minutiae', the more specific the ownership of the scanned fingerprint is.
The 'minutiae' in this fingerprint are the dots around the fingerprint itself. As it is known that this fingerprint has very distinctive lines like the barcode.
For clarity, the following are the explanatory points in the fingerprint that are used as identification-specific data. So the scanner will match the pattern of the lines on the fingerprint.
The points formed by these lines are as follows:
- crossover (crossing of two lines)
- core (turning around a line)
- bifurcation (forking of a line)
- ridge ending (stopping a line)
- island (a very short line)
- delta (the meeting of three lines that form an angle)
- pore (the branching of a line which is immediately followed by the rejoining of the branches to form a small circle)
For those who are accustomed to working with fingerprints, it will be easier for them to determine and give an assessment of a fingerprint . Even for child development experts, these fingerprints can be used as evaluation material for children.
The evaluation can be used to determine the talents and interests of the child. Many believe that these fingerprints store so much data that perhaps not many people know about it. God's creation is so perfect.
Fingerprint Machine
A fingerprint machine or commonly called a fingerprint scanner works like a camera. This machine has an optical sensor which is actually a CCD (Charge Couple Device).
This silicon chip is made up of millions of pixels. It is these millions of pixels that make up a single image so that the fingerprint engine works quickly in scanning.
To see what time the arrival and departure of their employees are, many companies are now implementing attendance by using a fingerprint machine.
If the number of employees is large, of course this machine must be installed in several places. It could be that when employees arrive at the same time, they have to queue and end up being late.
Many companies also implement a salary deduction system or pay fines for late arrivals or returnees who are no longer absent at the fingerprint machine. This will certainly be the subject of a very long debate.
That is why apart from the fingerprint machine, there is also CCTV which will prove whether the employee who claims to be late is honest or is just looking for an excuse not to pay the fine or have his salary cut.
This fingerprint machine and CCTV have actually improved employee performance, especially discipline in entering and leaving work. Companies do have to spend quite a lot of money to make their employees more disciplined.
Well, that's an explanation of how fingerprint works. Hopefully the information provided is useful for you.
