Utilizing Solar Energy

Utilizing Solar Energy

The use of electrical energy for daily needs is increasing. Various household products and communication tools cannot be separated from electricity.

When the electricity is cut off, we practically do not carry out activities as usual. The electrical energy produced by hydropower is of course very limited compared to the increasing demand.

In addition, petroleum energy sources are increasingly limited, while the need for fuel is increasing in line with the increasing number of vehicles.

Not to mention the use of fuel by the industry. Therefore, there needs to be actions and policies that lead to the use of other energy sources, such as solar energy as an alternative.

Yes, there are several other energy sources besides petroleum that can be utilized, namely solar energy, biological energy, water energy, marine energy, wind energy, nuclear energy, fossil material energy, and geothermal energy.

One source of energy that we can use is solar energy or solar energy.

Traditionally, solar energy has been used by the community for a long time to dry clothes, corn, rice, and tobacco. Agriculture also utilizes solar energy, namely through the process of photosynthesis carried out by these agricultural plants.

Since the energy crisis in 1973, there has been an increasing interest in utilizing solar energy more directly.

The use of solar energy is for heating water, space heating, drying agricultural products, and generating electricity. Except for power generation, the utilization of solar energy can be done with simple technology.

However, the required capital is still high when compared to the economic capacity of our people in general and rural communities in particular. For middle to upper class people who need hot water for bathing and heating for their vacation homes in the mountains, the costs are not high.

Utilization of solar power for electricity generation requires a large amount of money, considering that the technology used is more modern. The price of electricity generated is still much more expensive than electricity generated from hydropower.

Therefore, electricity from solar energy cannot be managed optimally. Electrical energy from solar is only used for special needs. For example, for areas that require electricity and are located far from electricity distribution lines.

For example, the need for electricity for a military base on a remote island or a scientific station in the middle of the wilderness.

An alternative way is needed to provide electricity in that place because it is not covered by Goverment electricity. This is where alternative energy resources are needed, and solar energy is one of the best alternatives to meet these electricity needs.
